Verbal arrangement leads to differences

10 May 2017 by YourProperty

I have a verbal arrangement with my landlord to pay the monthly rental and to make a contribution to the water and electricity expenses.

After he ignored many requests for a statement on the lights and water amount, I sourced a copy from the municipality and discovered that I was also paying for rates, which was not part of the agreement.

I have refused to pay this and he has asked me to vacate the premises.

He also presented me with a new lease agreement which was totally in his favour.

Can you advise how to resolve this situation?

Thank you,

Verbally Conflicted
