When it comes to delivering mail to a sectional title complex, there are a few different scenarios that could apply.
If there are individual postboxes on the property boundary, the post office will normally deliver directly to each individual.
Where these post boxes are no longer accessible because of later installed security systems, there needs to be another way for the post office to deliver mail to the units in the complex.
One such way would be for the body corporate to install a bulk box on the perimeter and then redeliver to individual boxes.
Alternatively, the post office employee could be allowed access to the complex by security staff or provided with a key or security code for the gate.
To prevent a public facility from delivering the mail would be generally contrary to looking after the interests of all owners and residents.
It is something that should be brought up at the AGM and discussed by the owners who are present. It should be possible to come up with a simple and practical solution to the problem.
