Landlord tries to cancel valid lease agreement

29 September 2017 by YourProperty

I have been renting a property for six years and at the end of each annual period, I sign a contract with the landlord for another year and we agree on the new rent.

I always pay on time, but three months after agreeing on a new rental amount, he wants to cancel the lease and move in himself.

I can’t afford to move until the year of the lease agreement is up and he is aware of this.

What are my rights in this situation?

Thank you,

Troubled Tenant
