I have rented a house for a few years now.
When I issued a verbal notice to the landlord he accepted it and then we checked the house for damages and repairs.
The landlord does not know that the deposit must be invested in a financial institution, which I was also not aware of.
The landlord is adamant that we agreed on the money that I deposited in his account.
The lease agreement we have signed does not state anything about where the money must be kept.
Do I have a valid complaint to take to the Rental Housing Tribunals?
