Donating co-owned property to your child

5 September 2019 by YourProperty

I would like to give a property I own to one of my sons and want to know if I can do this as a donation or simply leave it to him in my will.

In addition, can you advise me of the cost implications on the options available to me?

This is my second marriage and I am married in community of property. The property I want to give to my son from my first marriage is valued at R500 000.

Thank you,
