I have rented a property for three years and, after renewing the lease for the next period, was given notice of its cancellation.
I have never been late with payments and maintained the property throughout.
The landlord’s agent sent me an e-mail to advise me of the increase in rental for the next period and I immediately accepted the conditions by relying to the e-mail.
Three days later I received a letter from the agent giving me two months’ notice because of a promise the landlord had made a month previously to let the property to his neighbour.
I would like to know what my rights are in this situation.
