I live in a sectional title complex but the body corporate seems to have lost all interest in administering the complex.
There are a number of issues that are simply not being addressed. Repairs are not being done in a timely fashion, if at all. I am concerned that the insurance on the complex may have lapsed, or the terms might be out of date but when asking for information, none is forthcoming. There is no access to the financials or minutes of meetings held by trustees, despite requests for this.
I am aware that there are certain provisions in both the Sectional Titles Act and the Sectional Titles Schemes Management Act instructing the Body Corporate to adhere to certain principles, but is there not an ombud or someone that can intercede when they don’t adhere to this?
Please help!
