A few months ago we sold our property and purchased another with the transfer of our new property dependant on the transfer of our old house. Due to missing water meter readings, the transfer of our old house has been delayed which has both the new purchaser of our old property and I paying for occupational rental.
To make matters worse, the other purchaser of our old property is not paying his occupational rental on time and we are struggling to get our monthly payments from him.
Four months after the conclusion of the two sales, the purchaser is now refusing to pay any occupational rental after discovering apparent cracks in the boundary walls. He is now demanding that I rebuild the offending walls.
The issue I have with this is that we never noticed any cracks in the walls and most certainly did not try and hide any either. The purchaser viewed the property on several occasions before submitting an offer and never raised this issue?
What do we do now?
