I’ve been given 30 days’ notice by telephone by the agent to vacate the dwelling that I’m renting.
I understand the dwelling has been put on the market and is possibly sold. I had a contract for the last three years, but now the rental is on a month-to-month basis.
I have received nothing in writing from the agent or landlord and there have been no inspections of the dwelling in the last three years.
The landlord has been informed of several defects of the years, but nothing has been done.
I would like to know if it is legitimate to inform me telephonically that I have to vacate the dwelling and how the inspections work.
